Kings Canyon. It was our first trip that we took when we landed in Australia. Our friends forced us out the door. Thanks Greg. We did not have a vehicle yet so we all packed into a van and headed down the road. Kings Canyon is located around 323 km south of Alice Springs.
The camping facilities were something. It is the only one I have been to here that has bathrooms that are pretty much like at home. The showers are hot water, and the toilets are clean. Well, campsite clean. hahaha It was also the first time a scenery made us feel right in touch with God. The sky was the most clear we had ever seen. The Gilmores pointed out the planets that could be seen with the naked eye. At night-fall, the dingos came by to check what we had left out. We were hooked. Bush camping is for us!
